[ch. 5] wednesday, w/ steph
[BECAUSE IN THIS HOUSE WE LOVE AND RESPECT STEPH—
Steph won't have to wander far from her respective dorm before she hears the telltale noise of metal hitting the ground. Should she investigate the armory, she'll find Veronica carefully stepping away from a pile rusty weapons, apparently having knocked over the contents of a whole ass shelf. Whoops.]
I, um— [HI, STEPH.] I can explain.

[ she was willing to accept that veronica is just clumsy, but her immediate defense has now made her suspicious. ]

... Depends. Would you help me out if you knew?
no subject

[DRYLY. Steph, please.]
I just need help getting something down.

either way, time for steph to get a boost.]
It's, um. It's a blue notebook. Do you see it?
no subject
[ she will... reach over... and scoop it up triumphantly. ]
Got it!
no subject
[And down Steph goes! Gently, if not super duper wobbly.]
Now give it here so I can burn it.
[... VERONICA.]
no subject
[ UHHHH??? ]
I thought this was something important?
[ she's handing it over anyway. ]

[It's kind of
her diary
complete with vague confessions of murdering three of her classmates. Hi.
Anyway, both of them will find themselves trapped in a bubble the moment Veronica's hand makes contact with the diary. Veronica will only have enough time to look at their surroundings, alarmed, before a memory begins.
"Look, look, look, look, look. Here’s my revenge. I’m gonna put a flemglobber in her Prairie Oyster and she’ll never know. Ready?"
Entirely from Veronica's own point of view, Stephanie will find herself witnessing the rest of the scene play out. JD's bad attempt at a "joke", them kissing and making up, and then Veronica humiliating herself to try and get back on Heather's good graces. However, it's not until Heather's dead on the ground and Veronica is yelling at her boyfriend to call 911 that the memory fades.
That sure did happen, hm.]

what the fuck.
stephanie does not know what to comment on, or if she should even comment on anything at all. there's just a long moment of her gaping, before slowly turning to look at veronica. ]
What.
[ well, her tapestry did drip ink. ]

Veronica looks like she wants the ground to swallow her whole. Which, you know, fair.]
It— It was an accident, I swear. [KILL HER.]

no subject
[SORRY, STEPH...]

no subject
What happened after?
no subject
[... she's skipping the part where she wrote the suicide note. don't judge her.]
no subject
it's... a less murdery than veronica's. still, she looks embarrassed??? why. ]
