[Hey, Rebecca.

At some point during Tuesday, she'll find Veronica holed up in the kitchen. It seems like she's starting to heat up some water, a box of tea and two cups laid out on the counter. When she notices she has company, she smiles at her in greeting.]

I'm making tea. Do you want some?

[She shows up a little later in the day than she normally would, but she takes a seat with a smile.]

Sounds nice. How've your objectives been going?

[Nodding, she's going to add more water for a third cup.]

They're, uh... going. I'm on my second objective now. [So. Shrugs!!] You still need help with yours, right?

[disclosures]

Right, you said you needed help with that one... or I guess you thought you would?

I'm on my third one now, but I do need help with it. Did you watch a lot of Disney as a kid?

[She'll get up and open up one of the kitchen drawers, pullout out a fork.]

I thought I would, but it turns out it's more loner bullshit.

[She hates it. Thanks, Crafters!]

Um... I guess. I watched the Mickey Mouse Club with my best friend, if that counts. [She's. Actually old. But, also—] ... Why are you grabbing a fork?

Can I ask what it is, or is it one of those things that needs to be kept totally secret?

What about those classic Disney Princess Movies? [She's not answering that question about the fork just yet.]

It's... bad. I have to injure myself in a really specific way.

[So, yeah. Not doing that.]

You mean like, Snow White?

... How much do you trust me?

... Enough that I consider you my friend. [...] But just so we're clear, there's no context in a murder castle where that question isn't really concerning?

Yeah, I know. It's more about.... titles. And the gifts that are attached to them.

Anyway... if you do hurt yourself, I can heal it.

Oh. That's— Really? That's your gift? How much would you be able to heal?

I can't bring anybody back from the dead but... I can heal any wounds, fatal or otherwise.

What's the catch? Not— Not for me, but for you. I know there's someone with a gift like that and... I've been told it's "self-destructive." Is it yours?

How many healers are around here? [She squints at Veronica before shaking her head.]

For me? No, it'll happen to you. You'll forget I was the one who healed you.

[asswipe]

With you? Three. I'm as surprised as you are.

[HUH.]

... That actually doesn't sound too bad. Have you tested it out on anyone already?

[disclosures]

That's a lot more than I was expecting. I knew about Lord El Melloi II, but he did it in front of everybody.

... Yeah, I've done it before. Once.

I won't ask you who you did it for. But... Thank you, Rebecca. I'll keep it in mind if I get the guts to go through with it.

[Because, well. Purposefully doing it scares the shit out of her, honestly.]

... You said something about helping you with your objective, right? What is it and how can I help?

Can I ask you... what exactly your objective is this time?

I need to do somebody's hair with a fork. If you've watched Disney, I feel like it's pretty obvious.

It involves stabbing. And... I'm kind of hoping it's something I can use a token to change.

[Because the more she thinks about it, the more she wants to nope out.]

... I've watched Disney and that's not obvious at all? [...] Wait— Is this another future thing?

... Yeah, that's fair. If you're really afraid of hurting yourself and whatever your title is... doesn't involve that.

Anyway, it's a movie that came out in 1989.

But also, yeah. Okay. She nods, shutting off the stove before they do anything.]

Okay, okay. Should I sit down, or...? [Since they're both the same height?? Apparently??]

[ Rebecca looks baffled but it's... Fine? It's really okay by her if Veronica can't tell. ]

Yeah, sit down and I'll style it. How do you want it to look? Updo?

[It's the curse of being from one (1) month before the movie is released, rip...

Either way, she goes take a seat.]

Yeah... That's okay. If it gets your objective done, it's fine by me.

[She'll pick up the fork and start using it kind of like a brush, bringing it all up into a ponytail.]

This is the first time I've ever had to do somebody else's hair.

Really? [huh.] Not even in pre-school?

I'm pretty sure my mom did my hair then. But there's no way she'd let me near hers.

[asswipe]

... Well, you're getting to do someone else's hair now. Hooray for new life experiences?

It's not a bad one. Though I'm pretty sure this would be way easier with a comb instead of a fork.

But they had to be specific about it.

What's with the fork, anyway? I know you said it's from a Disney movie but, um... the reference is lost on me.

[disclosures]

[Hmm...]

When did you say you were from again?

[asswipe]

1989...?

[disclosures]

Huh, that's the year the movie came out.

It's... October for me. And I had other things on my mind besides going to the movie theater.
