[ch. 5] wednesday, w/ belph
[HEY, BELPH.
Should he walk past the tailor sometime during Wednesday, he'll hear the telltale sound of someone moving the furniture around. Take a look inside, and he'll spot Veronica trying to knock down a piece of paper that's stuck at the top of the clothing racks, using one of the mannequins to try and knock it down. Being short is a curse?? And she's mumbling profanities while trying to get the piece of paper down.
Help her? Or judge her. Either one works.]

GIVES HIM A LOOK.]
No. [RUDE!!] Are you planning to stand there while I beat the racks up with a mannequin? This is an invitation to be helpful, just to be clear.

[BELPH, PLEASE.
Anyway, she's hitting the racks again with enough force to, finally, dislodge the letter.
It gently flutters down from where it was stuck and
lands on Veronica's face.
They get trapped inside a bubble instantly. Fun!]

Um?

[... Says Veronica, who can't actually see because the letter is on her hecking face. The moment she lets go of the mannequin to remove the letter from her face, though, a memory begins to play. It ends just as Veronica confesses to murdering three hecking people, quickly covering her mouth with her hands as she realizes what she's said.]

what the fuck.
belph is quiet for a while, and then, awkwardly,]
... My school was nowhere near that dramatic?
[what does he even say to that??]
no subject
[Nothing. There is nothing he has to say.
Either way, she's going to take one good look at the letter and then start ripping it up. THis is fine.]

[veronica is evidently Not Fine, though belph doesn't have much time to react—as the bubble shifts into a new memory (and i have no way smooth way of saying this but it ends at 8:00 ok).
hmm.]

As Belph's memory ends, the bubble pops, freeing them. Veronica looks at the ripped up pieces of paper in her hands, looks at Belph, looks back at the paper, looks at Belph again—]
Um. [ELOQUENT.] ... I'd offer to punch out your uncle, but he isn't here right now.
no subject
... Thanks? I'd offer to punch out... whoever that person in yours was, I guess.
