[ch. 5] post-execution, w/ ion

[asswipe]

[This has been.......... a weekend.

Ion will find Veronica in the observatory, sitting on the ground with her knees brought up to her chest. She's activated the sphere in order to see the stars from her own world, and though she looks to be lost in thought, she does lift her head up in order to greet Ion when he enters the room.]

... Hey. [There's. A tiny smile.] Mind closing the door behind you?

Of course.

[Ion does as he's asked, and hesitates, leaning against the door for a moment after it's closed, but tentatively comes closer to sit down at her side.]

It's peaceful in here.

[asswipe]

Yeah... It's a good place to wind down, if you don't want to deal with the rest of the castle.

[She's gotta decompress somewhere, alas.]

How are you holding up?

[fragileprophet]

[He's silent for a moment, adjusting himself into a comfortable position and looking up at the stars.]

I'm not sure yet. Still processing, I think. How about you?

[asswipe]

The same, to be quite honest. [An innocent person sure did get executed today!!] I get the feeling we used up all our luck with the first three weeks, and now we're on our own.
