[Wow. Everything sure did go to shit!

It's somewhat late in the night. Late enough that they've had at least an hour or two to cool off from the trial. Doesn't mean it's enough to feel any less shitty, though, or any less frustrated.]

Fourteen people got at least one vote, and we still didn't get it right.

[Hi, Steph. They're major fuckups. This is fine.]

[ she still does not understand why natsuo thought that was a good idea, but after that trial steph is not sure how much she understands him in general anymore. ]

I'm never letting Natsuo touch anything ever again. [uno regret] What the hell was up with him tonight, anyway? He lost his freaking marbles.

Holy shit! I know? I expected him to go into full villain speech mode.

[ it was a major case of whiplash, considering just a few weeks ago natsuo was going on about protecting everyone. ]

I know! I was bracing myself for— You know, a full-blown murder confession. Did dying screw up his brain that much? Jesus Christ.

[Is Natsuo okay??? It was so much. ]

Maybe we should... try asking one of the Crafters about it?

[ she feels like they'd tell them it's none of their business tough. ]

It's not a bad idea. Worst that could happen is that they'll tell us to get lost.

I think at this point, even if we think they won't tell us we should ask anyway.

Pretty much. We're desperate and people are dying.

... Don't remind me. I still can't believe the results.

How many people even voted for him?

[ it's impossible to tell. ]

For all we know, it could have been less than a fraction of us. We did vote for fourteen people in total, and there's only twenty-nine of us left.

[vigilantics]

It kind of kills me not knowing... what if we were just a vote or two off from actually getting someone?

[ the chances weren't high but. what if. ]

Or just a vote from killing not one, but two innocent people. The numbers were against us.

[vigilantics]

We can't be this reckless ever again.

We don't even know if the person who pairs people together can even do multiple partnerships at once.

[asswipe]

Even if we don't know now, we're about to find out the hard way.

... we just really need at least one good thing after this.

[asswipe]

Keep those fingers crossed, then. I'm hoping that having an even number of partnerless is enough to make it work.

[vigilantics]

It's kind of mean to make us wait another day for this.

[ the understatement is on purpose; everything about this is mean. ]

If our happiness was a priority, nobody would have gotten stabbed this week.

... I still wonder about Hijikata.

Me, too. Tiger said she didn't know when he was dying, but...

... I hate saying this, but whoever gets chosen as Blotters next, they need to ask about that. It's the only way we'll actually find out if there's someone doing stuff on different orders.

[ and like she pointed out in trial, they are all now aware that roles that have nothing to do with titles exist. ]

They need to, but will they remember to? Unless someone who cares about this gets chosen...

[She trails off, grimacing.]

I'm worried about who their next choices are going to be, too. No matter how you cut it, it's going to be bad.

[They're finally at the point where every death hurts. :')]

I... really don't want to think about it, but we're going to have to once Friday hits.

[ there really is nothing worse than the weekend. if they get out of here, steph doesn't think she'll ever stop dreading them. ]

I know. I wish we could hit the pause button on this mess and regroup.

[It's...... so much.

But luckily, next week is break week. Maybe.]

Yeah, I... we probably do need to all talk together, and have it not be during trial.

We do. Maybe we could even learn to get our shit together without a time limit.

If we can't manage to do that then we are extremely doomed.

Because we aren't doomed enough already.

We can undoom ourselves, I think.

If you're an optimist, maybe.

We already have too many pessimists. At this rate it feels kind of trendy?
